The Deanship of E-learning and Distance Education will aim in the summer training program for the academic year 2019 the field of e-learning and its various applications to keep pace with the digital transformation that serves the educational process.
The program targets female students of the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, to train them in the following skills:
- Specialized skills (design of computing applications), which focused on designing interactive educational electronic content using Augmented Reailty and Virtual Reality technologies.
- Labor market skills that were introduced through the "company program" in cooperation with the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at King Abdulaziz University for Cooperation, representatives of the "Saudi Achievement" program, and a group of experienced volunteers from King Abdulaziz University.
As the female students were divided into two companies, about (20) students in each company, the following table shows the information for each company:
- Insight company: A company specialized in producing virtual reality applications
- Jasad:
A software application with virtual reality technology to interact with the human body.
- Mohak:
A software application with virtual reality technology for the Chemical Textile Combustion Laboratory.
- ARTech: a company specialized in producing augmented reality apps
- Dalili:
A software application with augmented reality technology for a directive map of the Deanship's headquarters.
- Jughrafi:
A software application with augmented reality technology for an educational object in the subject of geography.
- My smart letters (Hurufi Aldhakiya):
A software application with augmented reality technology for Arabic letters that supports different groups of learners, including the special needs.
