The King Abdulaziz University To Launch The First Distance Learning Post Graduation Program In The Kingdom

As eager to provide an access for all community members to join its program for education and knowledge and post graduation programs and as also as a manifestation of the Distance Learning Regulations, the King Abdulaziz University accepted a number of post graduation students for the first semester of educational year 1431-1432AH through distance learning system to study the master degree in educational instruction after finishing all the requirements for the electronic admission. ‘By taking that step King Abdulaziz University will be the first university in the kingdom to apply the distance learning system in the stage of post graduation which will give access to a large portion of the community to complete their higher education’ said Prof. Adnan Al Homaidan the Dean of Post Graduation in the King Abdulaziz University, meanwhile Prof. Hisham Bardisy said that the program of post graduation was launched in accordance with the noble approval on the distance learning regulations that regulate the distance learning in the higher education institutions in the kingdom, additionally the deanship of distance learning in the King Abdulaziz University was the first deanship for distance learning in the whole kingdom to allow that large number of specialities for the students and today it maintains its leadership in the field of distance learning by that achievement. The deanship also exclusively, and by means of the technical staff of the deanship, managed to develop the electronic content of all the e-learning programs and all the systems and tolls, i.e. the E-Learning system, the electronic examination system and the electronic follow up system that allow controlling the quality of the educational outcomes, furthermore Prof. Saad Al Masoudy the General Supervisor for the education diploma program said that 15 students were accepted in the distance learning system for this educational year and in the next educational year this number will be increased, it worth mentioning also that the said procedure was done in accordance with the mechanisms of facilitating the study in the post graduation program in order to cope with the information technology revolution that facilitates the communication between the researchers and enriches the scientific research and to add a value to the society and as the university of King Abdulaziz always does through the direction of his Excellency Prof. Usama Bin Sadiq Tayib the president of the university and the follow up of Prof. Adnan Bin Hamza Mohd Zahid the deputy president for post graduation and scientific research who always do their best to give the King Abdulaziz University an outstanding position locally and internationally. It also worth mentioning that the deanship of distance learning and the deanship of post graduation studies are looking forward to increase the number of specialties in the distance learning system especially the program that attract the large number of students as a reflection of the prevailing trend of distance learning around the world and the issuance of distance learning regulations which will contribute in spreading the knowledge between the citizens of our dear country.
