The adoption of the (Blackboard) system in the Distance Learning program and Correspondence program which replaced the previous systems (EMES) and (Centra) through (Blackboard Learn) and (Blackboard Collaborate).

Faculty member must sign the e-contract for the course first and then it will be included in the curriculum of the Blackboard system within a maximum of 24 hours from the date of signature.
The system is accessed by entering the same username and password used for accessing the ODUS Plus system.
You may experience the problem of accessing the Blackboard system although you have made sure that you had updated the Java script. All you need to do is:

Important note: If you wish to keep a full copy from the Grade Center in the same new arrangement you should repeat this process in Excel after it has been re-loaded on your device.

You can access the virtual classroom through:
- The "virtual classroom" link in the side menu of the course.
- Or through the "tools" link ---> Blackboard Collaborate.
First: you must make sure that your Employee ID is enabled on the ODUS Plus system.
Second: be sure to registrar the course under your name by the academic affairs officer in charge or the academic supervisor in your college. Consequently, you user will be activated in the Distance Education Systems within (24) hours maximum.
You can do this through:
- The "application sharing tool" (Application share).
- or by using the "upload content" (Load Content). But, you must make sure that all pictures and presentations to be shared are closed in your device.
Note:It is preferable to download presentations and pictures through (Load Content). It is also advisable that the number of power point slides to be presented do not exceed 25 slides.
First, all students must be removed from the virtual classroom by shading their names, and then right-clicking on the mouse and choosing the last option "Remove user"
Second, stop the recording.
Afterwards, close the virtual classroom window from the sign at the top of the toolbar.
Note:A confirmation message will appear to leave the session Choose the "OK" button, thus the session is closed and uploaded successfully.
Dear Blackboard system user, when you log in to the virtual classroom lectures to look at previous lectures you may face the problem of all lectures not being visible, or the disappearance of some lectures after they were present.
The solution is as follows:
- 1- Change the start date of lectures by clicking on calendar icon in the "start date".Make this date the beginning of the semester date so that you are able to see all the lectures. The "end date" remains as it is the date of the same day.
- 2- Click on the "next" button. All the lectures of the semester will appear, as shown in the image.
Thus, please always check the start date of the lectures and make it the date of the beginning of the semester in order to see all the lectures.
First: go to Courses ---> Choose subject ---> virtual classroom Blackboard Collaborate ---> Scheduled sessions
Second: Click on join session ---> "meeting" window appears in the bottom of the window.
Note: You must wait a bit until the virtual classroom opens.
- Close the program and re-open again.
- Or make sure that there aren’t two versions of Java download on your PC. After updating JavaScript the first version must be deleted and then the program should be restarted.
- Or go to Control Panel ---> choose Java ---> Settings ---> Delete files.

Also, be sure to download these programs only once and that the download process is successful. You can make sure of that from your PC through: Start Menu ----> Control Panel ---- > Programs and Features
First: you must adjust the sound settings through the sound processor, which scans your microphone, and make sure it works properly before you start recording the session.
Second: You must press the "Talk" button on the microphone in order for the students to be able to hear you.
