Educational Courses Coordinating Unit

Unit’s tasks:

  • Ensure the application of approved rules and regulations for the selection of faculty members (instructors and assistants) in distance education programs and in the development of e-courses.
  • Ensure the application of approved rules and regulations upon construction of distance education courses.
  • Coordination with the academic departments of the colleges with regard to the development or update of educational e-courses.
  • Coordination with the academic departments of the colleges with regard to the evaluation of the e-courses after its development or update.
  • Implementation of e-course development contracts and other related contracts after the completion of agreement procedures.
  • Follow-up on financial dues for contracts for development, evaluation and update of educational courses.
  • Monitor contract expiration date for each electronically developed course, and prepare reports accordingly.
  • Monitor units wishing to transfer from the correspondence system to distance learning system.
  • Support all faculty members regarding the composition and development of courses for distance education program.
  • Identify rules and regulations for the selection and composition of distance education courses, including educational and technical criteria in coordination with the Deanship of Development.
  • Carry out any instructions issued by the Department Head related to the unit's activities.
