Development of Regional Examination System

Project Overview

This project aims to facilitate the organization of regional examinations and its automation, as well as facilitating communication between faculty members in these regions and the Deanship of e-Learning and Distance Education located in Jeddah by continues monitoring of the committees’ activities that are being sent and the exchange of letters through the system during the exam period.

Motives for Developing the System
  • Difficulty managing, archiving and retrieval of information from large numbers of documents and paper files, which are increasing on a daily basis.
  • Large consumption of office space for the storage of paper files.
  • Consumption of time and effort to create, or to search for these documents or to distribute them to the desired destinations.
  • Difficulty in modifying the data.
  • Difficulty in direct communication between the members of the Committee and the Deanship of e-learning and Distance Education.
  • Inability to receive daily reports on a daily basis making them worthless.
  • Difficulty in writing and signing the minutes.
The goal of the project
  • Implement the strategy of King Abdul Aziz University to become a paperless university.
  • Automate documentation of test delivery and receipt processes.
  • Automate forms used to manage regional exams.
  • Track task accomplishments of committee members.
  • Automate Performance evaluation of committee members.
  • Automatic archiving of data in the system so that it can be accessed and retrieved at any time.
